Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism is the unethical act of copying someone else's initial ideas, processes, results or words without explicitly acknowledging the original author and source. Self-plagiarism occurs when an author utilizes a large part of their previously published work without appropriate references. It can range from getting the same manuscript published in multiple journals to modifying a previously published manuscript with some new data.

The journal is strictly against any unethical act of copying or plagiarism. Plagiarism is said to have occurred when large portions of a manuscript have been copied from previously published resources. By submitting the manuscript to the journal, the author(s) confirm that it is an original manuscript, is unpublished work and is not under consideration elsewhere.

Plagiarism, including duplicate publication of the author's work, in whole or part, without proper citation, is not tolerated by the journal. Manuscripts submitted to the journal must be checked for originality using anti-plagiarism software. Please cross-check your document for plagiarism using anti-plagiarism software like Turnitin/ iThenticate before it is published to GEHU. Please also report the software result during the submission of your paper.

The manuscripts in which the plagiarism is detected are handled based on the extent of the plagiarism:

5- 25% Plagiarism: The manuscript will not be given an ID, and the manuscript is sent back to the author(s) for content revision.

>25% Plagiarism: The manuscript will be rejected without the review
